Wow!
Love this!
The time has almost arrived... we are now doing the countdown... the final days before our lives are changed and our bodies are transformed.. 7 days (and this one is almost over).
The preseason and the warm ups have certainly put me in the right frame of mind to begin this journey. I havent always had the easiest of days... like yesterday and the day before when everything that looked like food was running the risk of being gobbled up before it had a chance to escape my clutches. I seem to be back on track, although lurking in my fridge is a collection of incredible cheeses (blue is my favourite) .... loads of salami and proscuitto ... beautiful homemade dips and condiments... tomorrow it will be even fuller .... ohhh the temptations! I have not thrown these out as I am having a big party at home on Wednesday with all the family coming to celebrate 4 birthdays, 2 weddings and 1 engagement and I am catering for it. I promise right here and commit to it that I will not pig out on the gorgeous things I make, I will allow myself only one small mouthful of those things that I can not resist.
So, how is everyone holding up? Are you looking forward to the fitness test? I know that I am hoping and have high expectations of myself to get into the intermediate level... I feel strong enough that I am no longer a beginner... but we will see.. I will post after I have done the test.
This week I have some new additions to my collection.. I purchased a treadmill which now has pride of place in the lounge room (not tucked away in the spare room, which ultimately would become just a place to hang clothes), my Michelle Bridges exercise DVD's have arrived and today I am having my hair done ... not exercise related, but it makes me feel fantastic.... and dont we all deserve to feel fantastic!
Will finish when I come back from having my hair done! OK, I am back... hair looks great, thanks to Natalie my wonderful creator!
Anyway, due to the powers of technology I was able to read some of our member blogs while sitting waiting for the chemicals to do their job and really enjoyed reading this fellow SWSYDers blog, click here to read about Marianne Grasso 's journey and look at how neat her pantry is (mine is not quite so tidy!). Make sure you take time to read some of the blogs that you see, I previously would just flick by them, but there are so many interesting photos and stories that they are worth stopping for.
Now, I must get through this week and be ready for next week and the changes that it will bring. I must admit that I am now nervous, excited, scared..... but if nothing else due to the preseasons tasks, I am prepared! Seeing all the before and after pics on the SWsyd facebook account is inspiring and I not only think you girls are brave for putting your pics up but also gorgeous with bodies that are looking so great in the midst of transformation ... but the most important thing is your hearts, so supportive and so honest to yourselves and to others. Right hand over left shoulder, give yourselves a pat on the back for all your efforts,
Last word and little tip for healthy hair:
Proper Diet
Your hair is a part of your body and needs proper nourishment. If you want great hair then be sure to start caring for you body as a whole. A good diet not only nurtures your body, but your hair also.
- Hair growth is almost guaranteed if you increase your intake of foods rich in protein such as fish, meat, poultry, dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc).
- Dryness of hair can be remedied by eating foods with high vitamin A contents like carrots, eggs, and dark green leafy vegetables.
- Hair loss has also been one of the problems that women find difficult to handle. Some professionals suggest ensuring vitamin B is in your diet as a means of preventing the persistence of hairloss.
Shiny Hair
Contrary to popular belief, there are natural substances that can produce equivalent results to artificial chemicals.- It is highly recommended to massage your scalp for about 2-3 times every week using warm oil. This will not only promote hair growth but it will also help in moisturising the hair.
- Among the natural oils that you can apply on your hair are almond, olive, and coconut oil.

Thanks for the mention Karen! I should put it out there now...I'm a little OCD! Love my containers & hates when hubby throws stuff in the fridge & pantry. Food ends up everywhere and the whole clean-up process starts again!!! Good luck with your fitness test...hope you achieve your aim of being in the intermediate category! :)
