After a week of my gorgeous girls sneezing, coughing and spluttering all over me, I'm sick :( I was hoping that I wouldn't be the next victim, but alas I spent all yesterday rugged up on the lounge.
I have had a great first week, and do not want anything to bring me down...and even though I'm now on antibiotics and didn't train yesterday, I'm not going to let this be my unraveling. I'm in a good head space at the moment and I want to keep it that way!

So, the question now is to train, or not to train?
Let me just say that I'm hating the fact I didn't train yesterday. I've gotten into a routine and am a little scared that now that I've broken it, it will be that much harder for me to re-establish...but is it safe to train when sick? I've done a little reading today and it has been the consensus that...
If your symptoms are above the neck, including a sore throat, nasal congestion, sneezing, and tearing eyes, then it's OK to exercise. If your symptoms are below the neck, such as coughing, body aches, fever, and fatigue, then it's time to hang up the running shoes until these symptoms subside.

So, I'll be taking it easy for a day or two...give the antibiotics a chance to kick in, so that I clear up as quickly as possible. Diet is 80% of the weight-loss equation, so a squeaky clean diet is a must if you're like me and feeling a little under the weather.

Firstly, hope you feel better soon. :)
Secondly, don't stress too much about getting out of your "routine" I was sick in my first week and didn't train for a few days and the minute I felt like I could breathe again I tested it out and did. I lost almost 2kg that week. The exercise is great but the nutrition is not only going to help with weight loss but also getting well faster.
It's good that we have these ups and downs over the 12 weeks. It's life and helps us remember that it's a process rather than "just for 12 weeks".
:) Rug up! :)
