The Olympics..A new appreciation

I confess!
Yes, as unpatriotic as it seems, I hated the Olympic Games.
I could not have given a frogs fat arse, who won what medal for what sport.
If I changed tv channels and got the Olympics I would groan.
I hated people who came to work tired because they sat up late watching a sport.
I hated my favourite tv shows being put off for four weeks because of the Olympic Games coverage.
The best thing about the Olympics was Roy and HG with their pisstake commentary on the gymnastics.

How times have changed!!
I hated sport, because I thought I could not do it, and I could not appreciate or identify with anyone who could.

Now, I am glued!
I love it. Regardless of the sport. I take interest in technique. I wonder about the preceeding training regimes.
I look and want to have a go at new sports, and wonder if it would be too late for me to pick up a sport and be an olympian next time....well one can dream:)


I hope you are enjoying and supporting our fellow athletes...I can say that, because I now consider myself one.
